Employee survey - MAE
- What is MAE?
A survey that measures the psycho and social work climate on all levels in the organization.
The questions in the employee survey is formulated in order to improve the ensemble and to develop the relationships average managers and employee throughout the organization. The survey is developed by Umeå municipality in cooperation with the sociological institution Umeå university. It is tailored for public sector and comprises 41 questions with obvious reply alternatives.
The result is presented on unit level, for each administration and for the municipality as total, that makes all employees in the organization concerned.
The survey is on the web and each employee is allocated an own password that is linked to unit and administration. This means that each employee can choose to pause during the survey, to continue to answer the survey at anytime.
Procedures:
- Build up of the organization tree with a contact for each unit in the tree. The contact will in turn order passwords to its employees. (One contact can be on several units) You can also choose manager and a report recipient for each unit.
- When the tree is completed, it will be sent login information to each contact. Every contact orders passwords to their employees and sends out the passwords each employee.

- During an optional period, the survey is active and open for the employees to reply. Each employee can at anytime make a pause in the survey in order to continue reply at another occasion. If anyone looses their password, the contact can easily order a new password to the employee.
- When the computer catch is completed, the reporte creates immediately. It is created one report per unit, administration and the municipality as total. Each manager gets their reports sent to their e-mail. Also the added report recipient gets their specific reports. You can also get reports with other selections and comparisons.
